M-O-U-S (Monster of Unusual Size)

Exploding  from the depths of my dress up box
A Monster Of Unusual Size materialized in my sight
Its lavender, muscle bound arms supported fire engine red
black wart covered claws that clutched the sides of my closet
It hoisted itself frog feet first into the cold moist air of my room
from the once revered "fantasy" box
The toothpick pea green legs with no knees came from the box
with exploding hair in all colors of the rainbow
The neon pink egg, which I can only assume was its body,
crested the edge of the box like a voluptuous wave crashing on the shore
An orb as bright as a lemon on black canvas
pulsed a pitch of sound the pierced the air
like a rooster at dawn on a frigid winter morning
Finally, the mossy, wart crusted midnight colored, blue spiked
hair  became a nightmare vision.
Thank goodness, while this monstrosity was holding itself up
like a gymnast on the parallel bars
My trusted dog lunged and grabbed it like
the mangled, slobbery chew toy we were looking for last night.
